I was editing some more travel photos today, and I realized how woefully few photos I posted from such an epic trip. Since I am drowning in England feels, having edited more photos and just seen World’s End for the second time (which convinced me that it’s a perfect film), I thought I’d remedy that tonight.
Here are some photos taken from our visit to the Tower of London (most of them have meant-to-be-helpful captions):
I brought Loki and Thor to England with me, and they joined us on our tour of the Tower.
View of Tower Green (site of numerous beheadings) and Queen’s House, where the Tower’s Resident Governor lives and originally held prisoners that included Lady Jane Grey and Guy Fawkes

Sir Walter Raleigh’s “prison” flat
Sadly, I forget which building this is…
Corner of the White Tower
Whilst waiting in the looooong line to see the crown jewels, Kara and I of course were making jokes about BBC Sherlock and Jim Moriarty breaking in. When we got inside, we saw that one of the maces was missing from the display. HE WAS THERE.
St. John’s Chapel at White Tower, which we technically weren’t supposed to photograph. I was subsequently arrested and placed on …
But I escaped. To … another part of the Tower I can’t remember
Housing for the Tower ravens
If you look closely, the black blob in the middle of the photo is a Tower raven
